Chapter 4 Capture

(The next day…)

The sun was still set creating a dark environment for the forest.

Everyone was informed about setting off today and resting up for the journey… however their rest would soon be cut short…

(*Escape* Begins)

(In the forest.)

A shadowy group of figures began to walk through the forest, a total of 10 of them were patrolling the area.  They wore strange metallic armor which covered their body, their faces were covered by huge masks, they held strange metallic weapons in their hands with light emerging from them.

“Any sign of them?” The first one shouted.

“Not yet… but these tracks are fresh.” The second one said as he observed some paw prints that was left in the dirt.

“Keep going they’re around here somewhere the first one replied.

(Back with the others.)

Midnight’s ear twitched to the sound of the human’s footsteps causing him to wake up in a panic.

“Everyone get up! Now!!!” He shouted.

Everyone immediately woke up in a hurry, even Rave.

“What’s up?” Flare asked.

“They’re close, very close… We gotta get out of here!” He said.

“Is everybody together?!” Limori asked.

Everybody replied in a quick yes.

“Good, let’s move out.” Midnight ordered.

Everyone immediately ran outside the cave into the darkness of the morning and into the forest away from the humans.

“Moon, do you remember where the aura was headed?” Limori asked.

“Yes, it headed north of here.” She replied.

“Okay then, let’s hurry, they’re extremely close.” Midnight said as he sniffed the air for the human’s scent.

“Lexie stay close okay?” Limori whispered.

“Okay mommy.” Lexie replied.

“You holding okay back there Keon?” Six asked as she looked behind her toward Keon.

“Yea, I’m fine, just watch where you’re headed.” Keon warned.



The humans weren’t too far behind. They were following the others based on sound.

“Sir, I heard them running over there!” The second human said as he pointed in the wolves direction.

“Hurry, get the charge ready, and remember… we’re here to capture only, no killing them off.” The first one ordered.

“Sir!!!” The others replied.



The sun was just barely rising creating light within the forest making it easier for everyone to see, including the humans.

“Man, they’re right behind us!” Flare said.

‘Damn! This isn’t good, if they catch up, we’re as good as dead.’ Midnight thought.

“Everyone keep going, we have to lose them one way or another!” Midnight said.

As the other began to speed up Lexie quickly tripped on the branch causing everyone to stop.

“Lexie!” Limori shouted as she went back to her.

“Limori wait!...” Midnight shouted before he saw the humans right behind them. ‘No!’ he thought.

“Sir they’re right ahead!” The second one shouted.

“Alright men, onward, capture every last one of them!!!” The first one shouted

“Yes sir!!!” They replied as they aimed their guns straight at Limori.

One after one began to fire what seemed to be large nets with iron balls at the end of each of the sides.

“Look out!!!” Rave said as she shielded Limori and Lexie.

The net hit Rave dead on and trapped her underneath the net.

“RAVE!!!” Six shouted as she went after Rave.



“No keep going! Ahhhhh!!!” Rave shouted as the nets soon gave off an electrical charge that began to shock her.

“Keep…going…guy…s” Rave muttered as she soon fell unconscious.

“No!!!” Six shouted.

Keon looked back and saw the humans approaching even closer.

“Six! Stop, we have to keep going!!!” Keon said.

“But Rave…” “Do you wanna get captured too?! We have to keep going, trust me.” Keon shouted.

Six paused for a minute as she saw the humans come even closer.

“Rave… I…I’m sorry.” Six said as tears welled up in her eyes.

“Come on hurry!” Midnight said as he continued running.

Everyone soon followed after Midnight except for the captured Rave.

“Sir we got one, what about the others?” The second human asked,

“Get this one back to the base, we’ve been looking for this one for a very long time.” The first one ordered.

“We’ll go after the rest of them later… return back to base.” The first one added.

“Sir yes sir!” The rest replied.

The second human picked up the net that contained Rave, dragging her on their way back to their base.

‘I’m…I’m sorry Six…’ She thought. ‘… it looks like I’m not gonna make it with you guys.’

(*Escape* ends)

(*Sadness and Grief* begins)

(Back with the others.)

Flare looked back towards the humans direction to see that they had disappeared.

“Guys I think we’re clear!” He shouted.

Everyone began to slow down and stop altogether.  “Is everyone alright?” Midnight asked.

“No…” Six whispered as her ears dropped.

“Everyone take a break, we’ll rest here for now.” Midnight ordered.

Six continued to cry over the lost of her friend while looking back in their direction.
Keon quickly ran right next to Six.

“Six… I’m sorry… but” “But what!?” Six interrupted Keon. “She’s gone now… We could’ve stopped them!”

“No… we couldn’t.” Keon said quietly. “If we had stayed back there they would’ve captured you too.” Keon said.

“I don’t care if they would’ve captured me!” She shouted “…She needs me.” She added.


Keon looked towards the ground and closed his eyes for a second. ‘…okay then… but, can I really do it?’ He thought.

“Okay then.” Keon said as he began to sniff the air.
(*Sadness and grief ends*)

(*Takeoff* Begins)

“Okay, what?” Six asked. “I have her scent, I’m going after them, alone.” Keon said as he began to walk back towards their previous location.

“No, I’m coming with you.” Six said.

“No you’re not, I can’t risk you getting caught as well!” Keon said.  “I… I don’t have anything to go back to remember?  I cant remember anything about my past… however you have a family that needs you.” Keon explained.

“I don’t care, I’m going with you whether you want me to come or not.” Six ordered as she ran in front of Keon causing him to stop.

“Me too.” Midnight said. “Me as well.” Limori added.

“But you guys…” “Keon… Rave is our friend, and so are you.” Midnight said.

‘A… a friend?” Keon thought.

“We’re not gonna let you two go by yourselves.” Limori added.

“But, whose going to watch Lexie? What if you two get caught?!” Keon exclaimed.

“We’ll watch her.” Flare said. “I’ll protect her with my life.” Moon added.

“… are you guys sure you wanna come?” Keon asked.

“Of course and besides you still have to make it to Medima with us.” Limori said as she smiled.

“Okay then… guess there’s no stopping you then.” Keon said as he sighed.  “Okay, get ready then, once we’re gone, we probably won’t be back for a while.” Keon said.

Limori walked toward Lexie and the others.

“Now Lexie, I want you to behave for Moon and Flare okay?” Limori asked as she hugged Lexie.

“Yes mommy.” Lexie replied.

“Please… take good care of her.” Midnight said.

“Don’t worry, we’ll take care of her, we promise.” Moon said.


“Alright you guys ready?” Keon asked.

Everyone nodded.

“Lets go!” Keon shouted as he began to run.

Everyone quickly followed after Keon leaving behind Lexie Moon and Flare.

“Be careful sis.” Flare said quietly.


‘Rave…please hang in there! We’re on our way!’ Six thought as she began to speed up.

(*Takeoff ends*)

(*Scent of silence* begins)


(Back with Rave)

As Rave began to open her eyes her vision was extremely blurry and she couldn’t see a thing.

“Where…where am I?” She asked.

“Well, well, looks like someone finally decided to wake up.” She heard.  Rave quickly rubbed her eyes and looked around to see that she was trapped inside a cage.  The cage was small and had small bars that surrounded the whole thing. As she looked outside the cage she saw dozens of humans walking around, some carrying a crate or two or just patrolling the area.  Some were working on strange machinery that they called computers.

As she looked to her left she saw another wolf, his fur was brown and the fur underneath his stomach was black.  His pitch black hair covered most of his face keeping Rave from looking him in the eyes. Most of his body had scratch marks and scars from something…

“Where am I?” She asked him.

“This? This is the disciplinary cell.” He said.

“Disciplinary cell?” She repeated.

“Yea, it’s where they keep most of the escaped chimeras that they re-captured, they keep us here without food or water for 5 days and insult us like we’re garbage! He explained. “They try to break you and follow their commands! It’s…its degrading.” He added.

“I see how long have you been here for?” She asked.

“About 2 weeks.” He admitted.

“2 weeks, but that means…”

“Yea, I’ve been without food or water for 14 days.” He said, “But I’m not about to let them break me!” He added.

“Why?” Rave asked.

“I’ve been free before, and let me tell you… it’s a heck of a lot better than being here.” He said.  “And while I was out there, one night while I was sleeping I had a vision… a vision of Medima.” He said as he walked towards Rave.

“R…Really what’s it like?” She asked with such curiosity.

“It was beautiful, there was a nice garden, and an ever flowing river, and not to mention, all the deer you could eat.” He said.

“Wow, that sounds amazing!” Rave said as she began to drool.

“Name’s Mari Akouzu.” He said.

“Mine’s Rave.” She replied. “So wait, if you were here all this time why didn’t you try to escape?” She asked

“Impossible, the humans have these weapons called turrets all over the place, if they so much as even spot you… well you’re as good as dead.” He explained.  

“Oh.” Rave said as her ears dropped.

“There is one thing I’ve always wanted to do though.” He said.  “What’s that?” Rave asked.

(*Scent of Silence* ends)

(*Sadness and grief* starts)

“… I’ve always wanted to… make it, make it all the way to Medima, just to see what it’s really like.” He said.  “My mother… she died protecting my brother and me.” He said.

“I’m so sorry.” She said.

“What happened to your brother?” She asked.

Mari simply looked away from Rave as tears welled up in his eyes.



“He… he didn’t make it… the humans were experimenting with him with some type of machine, and without anything to eat since we were attacked his body was weak… and then…” He choked.

“…” Rave muttered.

“I watched him suffer, they was trying to inject some type of liquid in him, however he managed to break free and tried to escape… that’s when… that’s when… they got him… I watched him get shot to death by those freakin’ turrets!” Mari said as he began to cry even harder. “I stared at his cold lifeless body, praying that he survived… but, I heard the humans say he didn’t make it.

“I watched them carry his body off into some room, and then… I never saw him again.” He explained.

“I’m…I’m so sorry.” Rave said as she hugged Mari causing him to blush.

“What…what are you doing?!” He exclaimed as he was released from her grip.

“What? You never had a hug before?” She asked.

“A…hug?” He repeated. “Yea, it’s something you give to someone when you want to comfort someone.  

“When I was first captured my friend Six used to hug me whenever I got scared… She told me “Don’t worry, I’ll always be here with you.” That’s when I knew I’ll never be alone again.” Rave explained.


“Wow, you’re friend sounds quite amazing.” Mari said. “Yea she’s really brave and super strong, as a matter of fact no one can beat her in a real fight!” Rave exclaimed. “That’s why I know, that she’s probably coming back for me right now.” She added.

“… alright it’s decided then. Rave is it? No matter what it takes I promise to get you to see your friend again.” Mari said.

“R…Really?!” Rave exclaimed.

“Yep, but under one condition…” He added.

“Wha…what’s what?” She asked.  

“Could… could I please have a hug?” Mari asked as he lightly blushed.

Rave quickly ran up to Mari and gave him a bear hug causing him to blush even harder. “Sure you got it Mari.” Rave said.

“Hey break it in there you two!!!” A human shouted causing Rave and Mari to separate immediately.

(*Sadness and grief* ends)

“Pfft, I bet his momma is so fat other humans jog around her just to exercise.” Rave said as Mari began to burst into laughter.

“Hey, I said shut up in there!!!” He shouted again.

“Jeez fine…wait did he just understand me?” She said.

However, the only voiced the humans heard from them are the constant barking coming from their mouths.


(Back with Keon and the others.

(*Twilight Sniping* begins)

They continued running until they reached a huge building that was at least 5 stories high.  There were lights emerging from the rooftops and giant metallic like doors were on each side.

“Rave’s in there, I just feel it.” Six said as she began to charge toward the building. “Whoa there girl!” Keon said as he stepped down on Six’s tail causing her to fall.

“What the hell was that for!!?” Six shouted in Keon’s face.

“You can’t just charge in there all willy nillie… wait why do I know those words?” Keon said and asked himself


“Well what do you suggest?!” Midnight asked.

Keon began to closely inspect the building until he saw a huge opening in a shaft that caused him to smile.

“Guys I got an idea.” Keon said.



(About 5 minutes later XD)

Keon and the others began to shimmy up the shaft very quickly until they reached the end. “I’ll check it out.” Keon said as he looked above the shaft and saw a long passage way.

“What are you doing up there!?” Six shouted. “Hurry up!”

“This isn’t going to be easy Keon said as he began to crawl along the shaft with the others right behind him.

Meanwhile…


(Back outside.)

Another dark pool of energy opened up directly from the entrance into the human’s base, with Syren and Zeal emerging from it.

“Okay our mission here is to destroy this building?” Zeal asked.

“Yep, you ready?!” Syren said.

“Nah!” Zeal replied causing Syren to have a blank look on her face.

“E…excuse me?!” She shouted.

“I really don’t feel like doing all that work for a stupid base.” Zeal said as he began to walk toward a patch of bushes that he soon laid on.

“Well what do you suggest we do?! Just go back to Master and say “Oh sorry Master we failed because we didn’t FEEL LIKE IT!!!?” Syren yelled.

“IDK.” He replied (Exactly letter for letter like I D K) “And besides don’chu smell that?” Zeal said as he sniffed the air.

“Wha…” Syren soon stopped as she began to shudder from smelling the air.

“Wha…what’s he doing here?!” She shouted.

“Like I know” Zeal replied.  “…Wait Syren I just got the perfecto idea, to make this mission quick and painless.” He added.

“Really? What’s that?” She asked.


“Why don’t we lure him over here?” He replied.  “And besides he hates humans more than anything right?” He added.

Syren giggled over the idea.  “Zeal? This maybe the best idea you’ve ever had!” She said.

“Yea I know, I amaze myself some times.” He said as he smiled.

“Okay, don’t get too in over your head okay? I said maybe.” Syren said as she began to grow a dark aura around her.


”Fine by me.” Zeal replied as he did the same thing.

“3…2…1… fire!!!” Syren shouted “ “Twin Darkness!!!” They both shouted as they shot two dark beams of energy into the sky that collided with each other to cause a giant explosion in the sky.

“That should get his attention.” Syren said as she began to smile maniacally.


(Else where in the forest.)



A dark creature stared at the explosion in the sky and immediately began to dash towards it.


“Humans! HUMANS!!!!!!!!!!” It howled into the sky as it began to run at an incredibly fast speed.

(*Twilight Sniping* ends)


(Back inside the base.)



Keon and the others were still crawling inside the air ducts in the top of the ceiling in the base while staring down at various grates leading to different rooms.

“It’s a shame of what they’re doing to them.” Limori said as she stared into one room.  The room contained dozens of different animals floating inside tubes of green liquid.

“I know, but we have to keep going, I have her scent.” Keon said as he continued to crawl throughout the ducts.  

“I have a feeling I’ve seen this before.” Six said as she followed Keon.  “This whole crawling through the ducts thing, it seems familiar.” She added.

“Maybe it was a dream you had?” Midnight asked.  “Nah… aw well.” Six replied.

“Wait we’re here!” Keon said as he looked into a grate.  The room contained the same cell Mari and Rave were him.

“She’s here!” Keon whispered as he turned to the others.

“Hang on Rave!” Six said as she crawled in front of Keon and pulled the grate off.  


“Hold on!!!” Keon scolded.  “Take a good look around!” He added.

Six quickly looked around the room, it was very small but each corner contained a turret.

“So what do we do?” Midnight asked.

“Okay first we…” Keon stopped as he began to shudder.

(*Alert* Begins)

“Keon!? What’s wrong?!” Limori asked

“That…that scent… guys we gotta make this quick!!!” Keon said.

“Hold on, Keon what’s the matter?!” Midnight asked.


“He…he’s here!” Keon said.

“He? Who’s he!?” Six asked.

All of a sudden an explosion came from outside the building causing the entire place to shake. A large alarm and a female voice echoed throughout the entire building.


“WARNING!!! WARNING!!! THE ULTIMATE CHIMERA HAS BEEN SPOTTED NEAR THE SOUTH EXIT!!! I REPEAT!!! THE ULTIMATE CHIMERA HAS BEEN SPOTTED NEAR THE SOUTH EXIT!!!”

“Oh… crap!!!” Six said.

“ALL PERSONAEL PLEASE EVACUATE THE PREMISIS IMMEDIAETLY!!!”


Suddenly all the humans began to panic and run through the entire building.

(Back with Rave and Mari)

“What are we gonna do!!! If we leave we’ll get shot!!!” Rave exclaimed.

“I…I don’t know!” Mari replied.


“I’ve had enough of this!!!” Six said as she dropped though the hole from the grate.

“Six wait!!!” Keon shouted

“Take this!!! Shiroi lightning!!!” Six shouted as her body began to glow white.


Rave’s ears suddenly perked up to that familiar voice. “Six!?” She said


Suddenly white lightning emerged from her body and struck all the turrets in the room causing them to explode, as well as some of the humans causing them to pass out.


As soon as she landed she ran over to Rave’s cave with the others soon following her.

“Six you take care of Rave I’ll look for something to turn those weapons off!!!” Keon ordered.

“We don’t have time for that!” Limori shouted. “Keon stand back!!!” Limori shouted as a gust of wind surrounded her.

“Four Winds!!!”  Limori shouted as four wind currents emerged from her body slicing up the main computer making it explode causing it to open all the cell doors and turn off all the turrets.

“Wow…that was convenient.” Keon said with a nervous smile.

“RAVE!!!” Six shouted as she ran towards Rave.

“SIX!!!” Rave replied as he bear hugged Six.

“Are you okay?!” Six shouted.

“Yea I’m fine. Mari kept me company though.” Rave said as she smiled.

“Who?” Six asked.

“Hey there, I’m Mari Akouzu.”

“Hi.” Six replied.


“Uhhh really sorry to break up this reunion but we gotta get the heck out of here!!!!” Keon shouted as he began to run down a hallway.

“Right!!!” Everyone said as they followed Keon.

As they began to run they passed by many humans who acted like they didn’t even exist.

“I think the whole chimera thing caused them to panic, so we should be safe until we get out of here!!!” Keon shouted.

However, a huge red beam of energy bursted through the wall right in front of Keon sending many humans flying past their direction.

“What’s up?!” Midnight said.

“…No… it can’t be.” Keon said as he shuddered.

A huge creature no bigger than a human emerged from the smoke.  It looked like a wolf however it’s body was that of a lion, it’s claws almost bear like, and it’s legs was that of a cheetah, the only thing wolf like was its tail and face.  His fur was mostly black and had red stripes going all the way to the end of his body.

“Humans…HUMANS!!!” It roared causing the smoke to disappear.

“It’s…it’s” Keon stuttered.

Indeed it was the creature that was mostly feared across the entire world… the Ultimate Chimera!
